ACE Coaching

• ACE Kids (AK) 3-5 years

  The ACE Kids program is aimed at developing foundation skills that are necessary in all sports. The program is delivered in 2 stages. The first stage works on hand/eye coordination through fun activities including throwing, catching, bouncing, movement and balance. The tennis racquet is introduced with modified balls and mini nets in the second stage of the program. Once successfully completing this stage, the children can move into the next level of the Ace tennis program.

  Duration: 30 minutes

  10 players per coach and assistant (on-court parental participation is encouraged)

  ACE Kids Registration form

• ACE Joey (AJ) 5-7 years

  The ACE Joey coaching program has been specifically designed for children between the ages of 5–7 to develop basic tennis skills including coordination, racquet control and basic tennis strokes. The program uses the mini nets, modified tennis balls and junior tennis racquets giving players the best chance to develop their skills. Once graduating the Ace Joey program, players will advance to the Ace Red coaching program and/or Hot Shots Red (playing) program.

  ACE Joey Registration form

• ACE Red (AR) 7-9 years

  The ACE Red coaching program continues on from Ace Joey and revises previous skills and new skills are learnt. The Red level is aimed at children from 7–9 who have developed the basic strokes of tennis. Stroke production is continued and the serve and return is introduced at this level. Players will develop tactical skills through game-based activities which are fun and interactive.

  ACE Red Registration form

• ACE Orange (AO) 9-11 years

  The Ace Orange coaching program is played on a 3/4 court, with modified balls to encourage stroke development with the emphasis being on control and consistency. The players continue to develop their serve, return and rallying skills as well as basic game strategies and tactics. The doubles game is introduced to the players through the term.

• ACE Green (AG) 10-12 years

  The Ace Green coaching program takes place on a full sized court. This stage further refines technique on all tennis strokes. Players are now taught intermediate strategies and tactics, as well as footwork, speed and agility. Players who master this level will find the transition to a full court with normal balls easy, armed with the psychological skills to compete and enjoy.

Hit Squad & Teen Tennis

• HIT Squad (HS) 13+ years

  The Hit Squad is designed for juniors aged between 12–16 as 'High Intensity Tennis'. Players in these squads are at a competitive level and keen to develop their skills and overall game play. Players are placed into the hit squads depending on their individual standard. These sessions encourage players to take a broader interest in tennis, acquire different skills and take responsibility for their own tennis.

  HIT Squad Registration form

• TEEN Tennis (TT) 13+ years

  The Teen Tennis program is designed for all teens of varying standards to come along and join in with other teens in a more easygoing coaching environment. Teens will have their strokes and general tennis game developed. It is ideal for those teenagers wanting to learn and play the game in a relaxed atmosphere.

School Coaching

Prep - Grade 7

School coaching is designed to give children an introduction to tennis and develop their tennis skills depending on age. Players will learn racquet control, basic tennis strokes, the serve and return, rallying skills as well as basic game strategies and tactics.

HotShots (Grade 2-5)

The Hot Shots program uses modified nets, balls and racquets and allows players to actually ‘play the game’ of tennis. It is not a coaching program although players will develop their skills through rallying, match play and fun activities.
