Meet our Personal Trainers

Welcome to our new Personal Trainer, Jimmy Sayce!

Jimmy grew up in Manchester England where he lived a very sedentary life style and stacked on weight. At 16 he was 130 kilos and extremely unhealthy. After watching the first series of Australia’s Biggest Loser I was inspired to lose weight, after training hard for 18 months he had lost almost 70 kilos. It was then that his interest in bodybuilding became serious! After bulking for a year he competed in his first season of bodybuilding. In early 2009, Jimmy placed fourth in the INBA Brisbane Body Building titles and ANB Asia Pacific Body Building titles. He is now preparing for the worlds in October this year.

Jimmy’s training specialities are: Weight loss, muscle gain/body building, comp prep and boot camp. Try Jimmy’s style of Personal Training today! Book your first session with Jimmy FOR FREE! Or buy your first three sessions for $80. That’s a massive saving of $55!

Get the Inside Scoop on Your Group Fitness Instructors

Instructor Profile – Lisa Bagnall

Lives: Upper Kedron.

Occupation: Mother of two (Isabella 7 and William 1 ) and Senior Hairdresser for Stefans.

Trained in: Body Attack and Certified Instructor for Body Pump.

Path to becoming an instructor: I first joined The Gap Health and Racquet Club as a member in 2002. Inspired by the fantastic Instructors I decided I too wanted to share my love of fitness with a class. I trained initially with The Australian Institute of Fitness, and then with Les Mills.

Why The Gap Health and Racquet Club? Where should I start? The friendly close knit environment , staff that love what they do and are eager to help you achieve your goals, the lovely ladies in the Kids Club ( very important for us mums) and … the beautiful members - without you guys we wouldn’t have a gym.

Advice to new group fitness participants: Introduce yourself to the Instructor. Let them know that you are new and they will pay you special attention to help you with your technique. Remember, all things are hard before they become easy. No one is born good at everything.

A perfect weekend would be: Relaxing at the beach with my family, dining out and eating chocolate!
