I have been a
part of the fitness industry for approximately 33 years! I began when I was 7, competing in swimming at a Country, State and National level until the age of about 15. My greatest achievement was when I came 1st in NSW for the 50m breaststroke and 8th for the 100m breaststroke. Several years after giving up swimming, I put on my running shoes and became obsessed with running marathons!
I have been working in gyms since 1991, being thrown into the deep end when living in Katherine. The YMCA were desperate for instructors and so they asked me! Back in 1995, I also owned and managed my own Health and Fitness Centre with my husband and 2 friends in Griffith NSW. I began instructing freestyle aerobics in 1991, but after participating in my first BODYPUMP class at an Aerobics Convention in Sydney in 1996, I became hooked with the Les Mills programs. I am now trained in BODYPUMP, BODYSTEP, RPM, BODYBALANCE AND BODYVIVE.
I am also a qualified primary school teacher. However, over the years my passion for the fitness industry has driven me to dedicate more of my life towards Group Fitness and Personal Training. Instructing Group Fitness and now being a Personal Trainer, are my passions, as health and fitness is a huge part of my life, other than my husband and 2 beautiful children. I love motivating people to achieve their goals and to feel better about themselves not only physically but mentally. It is so inspiring and rewarding to see people make these changes in their lives and to know you helped them along their journey. My participants and clients are my inspiration. I love working in an industry that I am so passionate about!
