Cardio training
With the latest computerised cardiovascular training equipment such as treadmills, cross trainers, rowers, steppers and bikes, your fitness levels will increase in a safe, time-efficient way with features such as pulse monitoring and programmability. Cardio training will not only assist you with improved fitness levels but is a key to weight loss. Each of our machines are very user-friendly.
Strength and conditioning studio
Our strength training machines are cutting edge with features such as 5 kg increments and converging / diverging motions.
We have a range of free and pin-loaded weights for your use. The benefit of weight training for all ages is enormous. Just some of the benefits include:
- Increased strength. The main benefit of a individual weight training program is increased muscle strength, making your day to day tasks easier.
- Stronger bones. People of all ages will benefit from increased bone density due this type of training. This will lead to less chance of bone injury and osteoporosis.
- Sport specific. We can design a specific program to suit the needs of your individual sport.
- Reduced body fat. Combined with a cardio exercise program, weight training can assist in the reduction of body fat.
- Depression. Studies have shown that weight training can be an effective way of controlling depression when used in conjunction with other therapies.
Ladies Only Circuit Gym
Our newest addition, our Ladies Only Circuit Gym is a private space for ladies only where they may train away from the main gym in the comfort of a private training area. The area includes 8 pin loaded machines, all designed with ladies in mind. The equipment is separated by cardio running boards to ensure the workout is a good mixture of weights and cardio, ensuring a good mix in your workout. The workout is designed to be run in 45 second training blocks, meaning the entire workout can be completed in approximately 30 minutes - a great option for the time poor lady!
The ladies Only Circuit Gym is staffed by a qualified Fitness Consultant three times per day (twice on Friday) to ensure our ladies train safely and efficiently.
This area is included as part of our membership, with no additional fees incurred.
Group Fitness Room
Renovated in 2010, our Group Fitness Room caters for over 40 classes per week (see our group fitness timetable for current times). With up to date equipment, and plenty of it, the timber sports floor ensures a fantastic and safe workout, no matter which class you choose.
Cycle Studio
Renovated in 2009, our Cycle Studio houses over ten RPM classes per week. With 35 of the latest, top of the range Bodybikes, you are sure to enjoy your RPM experience and burn some serious calories while you are it!
Coffee Shop and Kids Club
Our kids club takes care of any children 4 years and under. It features an outdoor play area and indoor, air conditioned play area for rainy day activities. With three fully qualified carers on duty at all times, you can be rest assured your little one will be well looked after while you enjoy your workout. Open from 8.55am - 12pm. Please note you need to book any children under 2 in, by calling reception on 3300 6668.
Feel like a coffee and a chat after your workout? Add a social element to your workout experience by staying for a coffee and a low fat treat in our coffee shop. Open all day, 7 days per week, you will look forward to your post workout coffee!
